Since December 2018, Big Show has undergone another two hip surgeries, including a hip replacement. A WWE network’s exclusive video named “Rebuilding Big Show” disclosed the same. Now, the seven-time world champion is cleared to make his return to pro-wresting.
Through his pro-wrestling career, he won many world championships. Big Show is two-time WWE Champion, two-time World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW Champion, and one-time ECW Champion.
After losing a Steel Cage match against Braun Strowman in September 2017, Big Show left WWE. Later, he had problems following hip surgery and developed an infection. So, the complications required him to undergo two more surgeries.
The seven-footer returned as a member of the SmackDown Live roster in October 2018. Big Show confronted Randy Orton in his comeback match. After that, he joined forces with The Bar to help them win Tag Team Titles from The New Day. Big Show punched Cesaro backstage after a disagreement just a few weeks after their on-screen partnership.
However, the storyline came to an abrupt end. WWE special documentary revealed that his hip resurfacing had shifted position because the bone had been damaged severely. So, this explains why he took time off again shortly after his alliance with The Bar had started.
He underwent surgeries in December 2018 & February 2019. The second surgery was a hip replacement. After taking medical tests, he received clearance from WWE doctors to make an in-ring return. The 47-years-old has been cleared since the week before WrestleMania 35 as the documentary showed.
Currently, the seven-time world champion is waiting for WWE’s creative to think of a storyline for his return. Plus, Big Show still has 18 months left to run on his WWE contract. So, we can expect to see him back inside the squared circle soon.
