Io Shirai makes her way out first for tonight’s main event. Rhea Ripley was out next. The bell rang and Shirai immediately nailed a dropkick to start. They went at it and Shirai blocked a back drop with a kick. Shirai smiled and ended up raking her nails down Ripley’s back after another counter. Ripley leveled her with two big clotheslines. She kept going and nailed a dropkick to send Shirai to the apron.

Ripley stayed on Shirai and slammed her face-first in the middle of the ring. She hit another big face-first spike into the mat. Ripley went for another big slam on her face but Shirai fought out. Shirai kept control for a double stomp. Ripley kicked out at two in the middle of the ring. Shirai looked a bit surprised and Ripley crawled on the mat. They went at it again. Ripley caught Shirai in mid-move and went for a powerbomb.

Shirai ended up rolling Ripley for a two count. She hit a Crossface submission. Ripley screamed but didn’t tap. She powered up and slammed Shirai back into the turnbuckles. Shirai hit a boot to the face. She climbed to the top but Ripley rocked her a few times. Ripley climbed up and hit Shirai with forearms to the back. She went for a superplex but Shirai kept fighting. Ripley hit headbutt up top and unloaded with headbutts. She nailed the superplex but Shirai kicked out in the middle of the ring.

More back and forth until the referee warned Shirai to stay off the hair. They traded strikes and Ripley leveled Shirai with a big shot. Shirai slide out of a slam and then dropped Ripley into another Crossface. More back and forth. Shirai ended up sending Ripley to the floor and nailing a big suicide dive. The music hit and NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Fair came out. She walked down the ramp as Shirai and Ripley brawled on the ramp while on their knees.

Ripley brought Shirai back in but Shirai caught her in a headscissors on the edge of the apron. Shirai sent Ripley crashing into Flair at ringside. She brought Ripley back in the ring but she’s slow to roll in after her. Shirai hit the running double knees in the corner but Ripley kicked out at 2. Ripley caught Shirai but Shirai turned it into a big DDT for another close pin attempt in the middle of the ring. Shirai got up first but Flair suddenly hit the ring and leveled Shirai with a big boot for the disqualification.

RESULT: Io Shirai def. Rhea Ripley via DQ

Flair immediately dropped Ripley with a Spear while the referee told her to get out of the ring. She stood tall while Ripley and Shirai were down. Flair’s music hit as she raised the title in the air over Shirai and Ripley.
