Pete Dunne came for the main event. Killian Dain approached from the side of the stage, and they had words while a referee got in between them. Dunne reached out and snapped Dain’s fingers out of nowhere. A group of officials held Dain back while Dunne headed to the ring. The fans chanted “BruiserWeight!” while Dunne waited. The lights went out, and the spotlight hit the stage, and we saw Damian Priest. The Archer of Infamy marched to the ring while Dunne looked on. The bell rang, and they sized each other up. They locked up and went at it, trading offence and counters.
Priest hit a big jumping elbow. Dunne tried to fight back, but Priest worked on the arm. They ran the ropes, and Dunne nailed a big forearm clubbing shot. Dunne took Priest down by his fingers and stomped on them for a pop. He kept control and worked on the arm and hand some more. Dunne bent Priest’s elbow and stomped it into the steel ring steps while the referee counted. They broke the count and went at it on the apron. Priest kicked Dunne away and to the floor. He brought it back into the ring and kept control, standing tall over Dunne.
The undefeated Priest climbed to the top, but Dunne cut him off and climbed up. Dunne hit a big superplex, but they both landed hard. So, fans chanted “NXT!” They both unloaded with strikes. Dunne hit a big step-up Enziguri and a dropkick to the knee. Priest fought Dunne off with an elbow. Dunne came back with a snap German suplex and some stomps to the hand while fans cheer him on. Priest went to the floor for a breather. Dunne climbed to the top and hit a big moonsault to the floor, taking Priest down on the outside.
Thus, fans chanted “Mamma Mia!” Dunne brought it back into the ring and climbed to the top. Priest ran up and cut him off. Dunne slid to the apron and rocked Priest, who was up top still. He nailed a big sitdown powerbomb, but Priest still kicked out at two. So, fans chanted “NXT!” as the show ran past 10 pm. Dunne stomped away on Priest now while fans popped. Priest rocked Dunne and followed, but Dunne took him down with a flying armbar. He fought it off, but Dunne went into a triangle. Priest ended up hitting another big Enziguri. He launched Dunne into the ring post.
However, fans chant for Priest. Priest picked Dunne up and hit a Crucifix Powerbomb for another close pin attempt. The crowd popped and chanted “NXT!” again. Priest fired an imaginary arrow at Dunne and called for the end. He ran the ropes and leapt out, taking Dunne down on the floor with a big Somersault Senton. Fans chant “holy shit!” Priest brought it back in for a German, but Dunne landed on his feet. Dunne rocked Priest in the head. Dunne climbed to the top, but Priest nailed a Cyclone Kick. Priest climbed up and hit a big Frankensteiner. He followed up with South of Heaven, but Dunne still kicked out.
Fans chanted “this is awesome!” again. They traded more big strikes and unloaded on each other in the middle of the ring. Dunne got the upperhand for a second but Priest joined back in. Priest fired with a huge clothesline to turn Dunne inside out. Dunne countered The Reckoning. Priest blocked the Bitter End and rocked Dunne. Dunne countered again with another Enziguri. Priest rocked Dunne again and springboarded at him, but Dunne knocked him out of the air. Both Superstars were down. Therefore, the attendance gave them a standing ovation and chant “NXT!” after that last sequence.
Fans chanted “fight forever!” while Dunne climbed to the top. Dunne went for the moonsault, but Priest got his knees up, and Dunne landed on them. Priest foe to finish Dunne but Dunne grabbed the fingers and slid out. The referee got caught in between them, leading to Priest hitting a low blow kick on Dunne. Fans booed, and the referee somehow didn’t see it. Priest followed up with The Reckoning for the pin to win. After the match, Priest stood tall to celebrate. He made his exit and stood tall on the ramp, firing his imaginary arrows and smiling back at the ring. Dunne recovered on the mat and NXT went off the air.
