Candice LeRae was out next. NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler was out next with Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke. They talked on the stage, but Baszler headed to the ring by herself. Also, we got formal ring introductions from Taylor. The bell rang, and they tangled. Baszler stroke first but Candice hit a big enziguri and then knocked Baszler out of the ring.

LeRae springboarded in and hit a crossbody on the floor while fans cheered.  Baszler had LeRae in the corner after the break. LeRae got knocked back to the outside. Baszler followed and sent LeRae into the steel ring steps. She taunted LeRae for a pop. Baszler placed LeRae’s hand in the grip hole of the steps, and then backed up and charged, slamming her arm.

They returned to the ring, and Baszler delivered a knee to the gut in the corner for a two count. Baszler kept LeRae grounded with a submission. Finally, LeRae got the bottom rope. They ended up on the apron. LeRae ducked a clothesline and tried for a German to the floor, but Baszler hung on. She rocked Baszler, and she fell to the floor. LeRae ran the ropes and hit a huge dive into the barrier.

She returned to the ring and hit another big dive to the floor. LeRae went back in for a third dive, taking Baszler down once again for a big pop. However, the fans chanted “NXT!” LeRae brought it back in the ring and climbed to the top, but Baszler rocked her with a kick to the head. Baszler climbed up, but LeRae knocked her to the mat. Baszler came back and climbed up while fans did dueling chants.

She hit a big super gutwrench suplex for a pop.  LeRae fought back in the center of the ring. Baszler grabbed her into the Kirifuda Clutch out of nowhere. LeRae immediately turned it around while the crowd went wild. Baszler broke it and applied a hanging Kirifuda Clutch in the corner. LeRae escaped and rocked her. She climbed up with a super swinging neckbreaker from the top.

Baszler kicked out just in time. She hit another Clutch. LeRae dropped Baszler and went for a moonsault but misses. Baszler went right into the Kirifuda Clutch once again. LeRae tried to fight free but Baszler re-positioned on her back. She tried to get to her feet with Baszler on her back, but couldn’t power up. Baszler still had the hold locked in, for more than a minute.

Finally, LeRae tapped out, and Baszler retained. After the match, Baszler stood tall with the title in the air while her music hits. The title-holder hit the ropes to pose some more while LeRae was still down on the mat.
