Bianca Belair came out first. She stopped, showing off the “Black History In The Making” message on the back of her robe. Belair swung her hair and headed to the ring. NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley was out next. They had words while Taylor did formal ring introductions. The bell rang and they sized each other up. They tested each other and broke, taunting and talking some more. Ripley went to work on Belair’s arm, keeping her down and talking trash. Belair countered but Ripley knocked her in the mouth.

She came back and slammed Ripley for a pop. Belair blocked a comeback in the corner while the referee was counting. She ended up running into boots in the corner. Ripley dropped her with short-arm clotheslines. Belair ducked one but Ripley dropkicked her into the corner. Ripley stomped away in the corner. She delivered a big chop to the chest. More back and forth but Ripley dropped her again to keep control. They traded power moves. Belair grounded Ripley but Ripley rocked Belair back into the corner and finally fought free.

Ripley hit a big back-drop. Belair charged but Ripley landed two clotheslines. She hit knees to the face and a takedown. Ripley hit a big dropkick while Belair was down. He powered up with Belair on her shoulders. Ripley slammed Belair face-first for another close two count. She manhandled Belair in a submission, slapping her around. Finally, Belair fought free and sent Ripley into the corner face-first. Belair went on and hit a big Spinebuster for a close two count. Ripley mounted offense for another close two count.

Belair ended up rocking Ripley while placing Ripley on the top. They traded huge strikes while one was on the top and the other on the mat. Belair got the upperhand and pressed Ripley high it the air, then to the mat. So, fans went wild. Belair hit a handspring moonsault but Ripley got her knees up. More back and forth while Belair’s parents were looking on. Ripley blocked a KOD. Belair ended up taking a big boot to the mat, but came right back with a big Spear as they both went down.

Moreover, they traded strikes from their knees in the middle of the ring. Fans chanted “this is wrestling!” Ripley unloaded and nailed a superkick in the middle of the ring. Belair delivered strikes and a forearm. Ripley hit another kick after blocking the hair whip. She charged but Belair nailed a huge back-drop, sending Ripley high in the air and then to the mat. Belair ran the ropes and leapt out, taking Ripley down on the floor. She got up first but Ripley fought her off. Ripley slammed Belair face-first into the steel steps. She brought it back in the ring.

Belair kicked Ripley away. Ripley charged but Belair sent her back to the floor through the ropes. She fought in from the apron, sending Belair into the top turnbuckle. Belair cut Ripley off and climbed up with her. She went for a superplex but Ripley fought back. Ripley hit a headbutt. She went for the sunset powerbomb but Belair held on. Ripley kept fighting and grabbed the pumphandle. She hit a big Riptide while Belair was on the top for the pin to retain.

After the match, The Nightmare raised her title but Charlotte Flair attacked her from behind out of nowhere. The Queen posed as the crowd went “Wooo!” at her. Flair took the mic and said she thought about it and she will see Ripley at WrestleMania. Fans popped as Flair dropped the mic. Flair hit Natural Selection on Ripley. Fans booed and cheered as Flair raised the NXT Women’s Title in the air. She dropped the title on Ripley and made her exit as the mixed reaction continued. Flair exited the ring but grabbed Belair and launched her into the steel steps. The boos got louder as Flair posed.
