The OC – AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson came out. AJ took the mic and said The Phenomenal One is back on RAW. He asked what WrestleMania season would be without him. Gallows and Anderson pointed up at the sign and they all joked about it. Anderson said AJ is the new Mr. WrestleMania as far as they’re concerned. AJ said being the humble man that he is. He can honestly say he’s the greatest Superstar on any roster, of any era.
Further, AJ used the “who’s next?” line and said he doesn’t care who is next. It could be WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, the whole nWo, and other stars he names. AJ said he will prove his dominance at Super ShowDown in the Gauntlet Match and when he does… However, the music interrupted and Ricochet made his way out. They traded shots as AJ knocked Ricochet about how he will never win the WWE Title. AJ accepted the challenge but Anderson can’t let AJ’s first match back be against this guy. Anderson accepted the challenge for him.
So, the bell rang and Karl Anderson & Ricochet went at it with. Ricochet dropkicked him out of the ring early on. He ran the ropes and leapt out, taking Anderson back down. After the break, Anderson continued to dominate. Ricochet rolled Anderson up out of nowhere for a two count. Anderson went right back to work and dropped Ricochet on his head. The referee ejected AJ Styles and Luke Gallows from ringside during the break.
Ricochet kept kicking Anderson back as he charged. More back and forth until Ricochet hit a springboard and a big kick. He then hit a standing Shooting Star Press but Anderson kicked out at two. Ricochet dragged Anderson over to the corner and climbed back to the top. He went for the 630 but has to roll through. Anderson hit a big boot and a big Spinebuster for a close two count in the middle of the ring. Moreover, they traded shots. Ricochet with a big superkick out of nowhere. Ricochet went on and dropped Anderson on his neck for the pin to win.
After the match, WWE’s Resident Superhero stood tall as the announcers hyped his Super ShowDown match against Lesnar.
