How long can Finn Balor stand between Tommaso Ciampa and “Goldie”?

Tommaso Ciampa came out first for tonight’s main event. Finn Balor was out next. The bell hit, and they locked up, going to the corner. Fans did dueling chants while they were in the corner and the referee warned them. Balor hit a shot to the face. Ciampa shoved him. Balor took Ciampa down. He went on and knocked Ciampa down again for a two count. Ciampa took it to the corner and kicked Balor in the gut. He worked Balor around the ring and dropped him with an elbow. Ciampa nailed a suplex for one count. Ciampa hit a sunset flip, but Balor rolled through with a dropkick.

Balor took Ciampa back down and grounded him in the middle of the ring. So, the fans chanted for The Blackheart. Balor tossed Ciampa out of the ring and dropkicked him through the ropes. He went for a kick off the apron, but Ciampa grabbed the leg and pulled him to the floor. Balor slid out and sent Ciampa into the ring post, but Ciampa came back and catapult Balor from the floor into the post. Ciampa went on and took a seat on the apron, playing to the crowd for a pop. Further, he fought Balor off and mounted momentum out of the corner.

Ciampa missed in the corner but clotheslined Balor down on the apron. He charged again and knocked Balor from the apron to the barricade. Ciampa brought it back in for a running knee strike to the face for a two count. He showed some frustration while fans were chanting for both superstars. Ciampa delivered big chops in the corner. He hit kicks in the corner, beating Balor down. Ciampa dropped the kneepad and charged, but Balor jumped up and hit a Slingblade. Balor sent Ciampa out and then ran around the ring for a big dropkick into the barrier.

He took Ciampa to the ramp for 1916, but Ciampa blocked and dropped Balor head-first on the bottom of the ramp. Thus, fans chanted “Mamma Mia!” Ciampa returned to the ring at seven. Balor barely made it back in, and Ciampa met him with a big knee. He nailed Project Ciampa for another close two count in the middle of the ring. Fans chanted “this is awesome!” as Ciampa looked frustrated again. Balor blocked the Fairytale Ending and hit a double stomp to the chest. He hit the big dropkick into the corner.

Balor climbed to the top, but Ciampa cut him off and climbed up. Ciampa nailed a super Air Raid Crash, but Balor was still in it. He said this for Johnny, but NXT Champion Adam Cole ran down and jumped on the apron. Balor got a two count as Ciampa swung at him. He got his hand on the NXT Title, but Ciampa kept fighting. Balor dropped Ciampa down over the NXT Title belt. The referee saw it and decided it was unintentional. Cole ended up delivering a big kick to Ciampa from the floor while the referee was getting rid of the title, allowing Balor to catch him for 1916 and the pin to win.

Result: Finn Balor def. Tommaso Ciampa

After the match, The Extraordinary man recovered. Cole was all smiles at ringside. He entered the ring, walked past Balor, and got his title from the referee while Ciampa was still down on the mat. Cole and Balor posed over Ciampa and taunted him. Suddenly, Balor dropped Cole with the big overhead kick. So, fans chanted for Balor. He exited the ring and pointed his guns back at the ring as Cole while Ciampa was recovering on the mat. Finally, NXT went off the air.
