Five WWE Superstars & teams who will break out in 2020

A new year means a new beginning for the superstars of RAW, SmackDown, NXT & NXT UK. Who will seize that fresh start and bust out this year? Here are five superstars and teams we need to watch out for in 2020.

Fire & Desire

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville are tighter than a pair of shoelaces. Few squads in WWE can match their friendship which stretches back to when they were Tough Enough. It seemed like 2019 would be a huge year for Fire & Desire. They respectively challenged for Auska’s SmackDown Women’s Championship but they both came up short. It’s only a matter of time for Fire & Desire to turn their great entering chemistry into results.

WALTER

Last year the WWE Universe was introduced to a 6’4”, 297 pound Goliath known simply as WALTER. The Austrian showed he could take down anyone with his brutal chops, and ended Pete Dunne’s insanely impressive 685 days reign as United Kingdom champion. WALTER, with help from ‘Imperium’ has been further establishing his reputation as one of the most powerful superstars in the world. And at the end of the year, his empire began to touch down in the states. It will take an army to remove the UK title from WALTER’s broad shoulders. But don’t be surprised if he adds more Championship gold to them first.

Dakota Kai

Dakota Kai established herself as a perky up-and-coming superstar as a member of Team Kick on NXT. Together with Teagan Nox, Kai had her eye set on becoming the first female team on NXT to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team title. And if it weren’t for Poisoned Mist, they might have succeed. When Rhea Ripley we first left Dakota offer WarGames something in the New Zealander change. And she unleashed this new mean streak on Teagan Nox at NXT TakeOver WarGames. How far will this new attitude Dakota Kai in 2020?

Humberto Carrillo

Humberto Carrillo showed potential greatness on 205 Live at the start of 2019. It was clear he was a wizard between the ropes. So, when RAW selected the high flyer in the 2019 WWE Draft, it seemed like they might have steel on their hands. Carrillo made his RAW debut against reigning Universal Champion Seth Rollins, and he held his own. He followed up by winning a Battle Royal to challenge AJ Styles for the United States title. It’s clear that Humberto is a future player in WWE, but the future might just come in 2020 for this exciting superstar.

Heavy Machinery

Otis and Tucker are a couple of fun-loving horses who quickly captured the WWE Universe’s hearts last year. But their love of steaks, weights and Mandy Rose is missing bigger picture. Heavy Machinery can go on.  Just like Fire & Desire in the Women’s Tag Team division. We have yet to really see Heavy Machinery at their full potential in the SmackDown Tag Team scene. They have a power and charisma that few teams can match.
