Braun, Kofi & Big E throw down with Nakamura, Cesaro & Zayn

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Big E came out first. We saw what happened last week with Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The New Day. Braun Strowman was out next to team with the champs. Cesaro was out first for his team, followed by WWE Intercontinental Champion Nakamura & Sami Zayn. Big E started things off with Cesaro and they locked up. Cesaro applied a headlock. Big E reversed it and danced some, then dropped Cesaro with a shoulder.

Kofi tagged in and dropped double legs over Cesaro for a two count. Cesaro turned it around and tagged Nakamura in. Nakamura delivered strikes. They ran the ropes and Kofi dropped Nakamura with a flying elbow. Kofi clotheslined Nakamura over the top rope to the floor. He went to run the ropes for a dive but Sami grabbed his leg. Nakamura grabbed Kofi, allowing them to turn it back around. Sami tagged in and kept Kofi down, then taunting Big E. He tossed Big E out of the ring to the floor.

Cesaro charged Kofi on the outside and sent him flying over the announce table with a big uppercut while the referee is distracted. Kofi landed in Graves’ lap. Strowman and Big E checked on Kofi at ringside as the others stared them down, coming out to the floor. After the break, Kofi dropped Cesaro in the ring while fans popped and started to rally. Nakamura came in and nailed a sliding kick to Kofi to shut him back down. He held Kofi and Cesaro came off the corner for the double team.

Cesaro nailed a gutwrench suplex to Kofi for a two count. He kept Kofi grounded on the mat. Kofi fought up and out but Cesaro caught him and stopped a tag. The Dreadlocked Dynamo slid out and rolled Cesaro for a two count. Cesaro charged in and nailed a really stiff uppercut to drop Kofi for another pin attempt. Nakamura tagged back in and slammed Kofi on his face. He drove knees into Kofi while he’s down. Sami talked trash from the apron. Nakamura kept Kofi grounded in the middle of the ring. He applied an abdominal stretch, facing and taunting Kofi’s partners.

Big E tried to run in after more taunting but the referee stopped him. Nakamura dropped Big E off the apron to the floor with a cheap shot. Eventually, Kofi nailed Nakamura with a SOS. So, fans popped and started rallying for Kofi. Cesaro ran in to stop the tag. He went for Strowman but The Monster Among Men stared Cesaro down. Sami grabbed Braun’s leg from the floor but it back-fired. Cesaro ended up driving Strowman into the barrier and he went down off the double team distraction.

Kofi back-dropped Cesaro in the ring again but both of his partners were down on the floor. He kept fighting but the numbers game continued. Kofi got dropped on his neck but Nakamura’s pin was broken as Big E ran in and shoved Cesaro down on them. However, this led to Kofi nailing a double knees as Nakamura ran in for the Kinshasa. Sami reached for a tag as did Strowman while Kofi and Nakamura were both down. Strowman tagged in and ran over Nakamura with a shoulder, then dropped Cesaro off the apron. He hit another big shoulder and a headbutt to Nakamura, then a splash in the corner. So, fans went wild for The Monster Among Men.

Strowman stood alone in the ring and played to the fans for a big pop. He ran around the ring and leveled Cesaro and Nakamura. Strowman went for Sami but had to chase him. Nakamura took advantage and caught Strowman while running, leveling him at ringside. He brought it back into the ring and waited for Braun. Nakamura went for the Kinshasa but Strowman leveled him with a big clothesline. Strowman scooped Nakamura but Cesaro pulled him down.

Cesaro dropped Strowman with a big springboard uppercut. Big E pulled Cesaro to the floor and sent him into the barrier, then the timekeeper’s area. Nakamura had an empty pancake platter in the ring, waiting to hit Strowman with it as Sami distracted the referee. Kofi assisted from the apron, hitting Nakamura with the platter over the back of the head. Strowman took advantage and power-slammed Nakamura for the pin to win.

Result: The New Day & Braun Strowman def. Shinsuke Nakamura, Cesaro & Sami Zayn

After the match, Strowman and The New Day stood tall as Braun’s music hit. Sami was complaining about how the winners cheated. Kofi took the mic and called for the “scary music” to stop. He said we all know about Strowman’s hands, but he also has a great set of hips we don’t know about. Big E said it’s time for the fans to “get this dance.” The New Day’s music started back up and they tried to get Braun to dance but he was not interested. The music stopped and Braun shoved Kofi back into the corner. He returned to the middle of the ring as a “get these hips!” chant started up. Strowman looked out at the crowd and finally started dancing. The New Day joined him while the crowd was cheering them on.
