Akira Tozawa came out first. We, besides, got a pre-recorded backstage promo with Tozawa warning Buddy Murphy and speaking some in Japanese. The music hit and Buddy Murphy came to the ring. The bell hit, and they locked up, going at it. Murphy focused on the arm and took Tozawa down by it. Tozawa delivered a big chop. Murphy took moves but just ate them. Tozawa dodged a high knee in the corner. He kept control and spiked Murphy down with a hurricanrana. Tozawa sent Murphy out of the ring and ran the ropes. He leapt out, but Murphy grabbed him in mid-air and dropped him head-first on the floor with a big suplex.
However, the referee counted. Murphy brought it back into the ring for a close two count. He kept control and applied an abdominal stretch. Tozawa ended up taking Murphy down with a huge superkick to the jaw. Murphy sent Tozawa to the mat and kicked him with another big shot. Tozawa stood up on the top and hit a missile dropkick. He hit a running kick to the face in the corner. Tozawa landed a kick and missed one. He caught Murphy with a German into a two count. Tozawa charged in with a Shining Wizard for another close to count. He climbed back to the top for the jumping senton, but Murphy avoided it.
Morover, Tozawa rocked him up top. He leapt up with a big kick. Murphy sent Tozawa to the mat, but he ran back up. He slides down, but this led to Tozawa spiking Murphy face-first with another hurricanrana. Tozawa sent Murphy out and brought him back in. He climbed to the top but took his time. Murphy ended up laying over the middle rope selling a move. Tozawa leapt from the top with a huge backsplash onto Murphy laid over the middle rope. Tozawa still got just a two count. He unloaded with strikes. Finally, Murphy rocked Tozawa and nailed Murphy’s Law for the pin to win.
